Thread Rolling

The most common process of roll forming is thread rolling. This is where material is displaced or squeezed in to tools or dies. This displaced material can be formed into various types of threads.

The cost and product advantages of thread rolling are numerous. Material cost savings, improved thread strength over machined threads, consistent quality and reduced manufacturing costs are supplemental to the benefits already derived on the cold formed blank.
